From injury prevention through diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, Neurologic & Orthopedic Hospital of Chicago offers comprehensive sports medicine to enhance top performance among youth, high school, collegiate, club, and professional athletes.
Under the direction of Dr. Preston Wolin, league physician for the WPS Chicago Red Stars and chicago area high schools, along with involvement of NBA league physician Dr. John Hefferon, our Chicago Sports Medicine team treats a range of athletes from professionals, to weekend warriors, to those who simply want to become more active or begin a routine exercise program or get into amateur sports. Examples of common sports injuries we treat at our Chicago facility include:
- Concussions
- Knee, ankle, and foot sprains or muscle strains
- Cartilage repair
- Dislocations and broken bones
- Overuse injuries such as tendonitis, stress fractures, and knee or
- ACL problems from golf, running, tennis, weight lifting, swimming, and throwing.
